The only good thing, the hotel has is la location Near to the beach.
I reaaly like the location! It was fantastic!
Dampness, cockroach, smell of rubbish, flow ceiling, unreturn of deposit!
small room, poor quality in every aspect for a comfortable stay. worst hotel we ever stayed in.
Its aweful. I do not recommend this hotel for families. Good for backpackers. The rooms stink. The split unit doesnt work and the bath tub clogs. No maintenance at all. Breakfast is pathetic. What else can you expect for such a less price!!
I liked the proximity to the beach and the fact that everything you could need was in that little neighborhood, no car needed.
If you look on their website, the room is supposed to have a safe (ours was broken, as was the elevator, and the public restrooms); a hair dryer (ours had none); and, worst of all, free wireless internet service (wireless was available only in the hotel lobby). It seemed like everything was out of order or extremely run down, and it felt like I was staying in a hostel but paying a hotel price. The wireless was the most frustrating thing because the hotel outright lies on its website and the employees are completely unapologetic about it. Unless you're a 20-something, single person used to traveling in hostel-like conditions, I strongly advise that you seek other accommodations.
our room were damped and smelled
The room was not clean and the hotel was old and need fixing up...
easy access to public transportation
bathroom floor got wet after shower; air conditioner could not turn off and was on constant all night, resulting in uncomfortanble sleep. Parts of the building leaked; there wer eno extra pillars; no battery in the remote contol for the tv.
Room was not upto the mark as shown in photos and as advirtised in Web. Room floor was not good.
The Hawaii Hotel shouldn't even be in business any longer. It should be torn down, along with the adjecent properties as it is no longer up to standards of accommendation. It was not worth the money we spent to stay there.
Close to the beach and good location
Hotel has poor comfort and and needs to be renovated.
The great location!! Great parking in front and quick walk onto the beach!
The building had no elevators so large luggage was hard to move onto floors. The continental breakfast was just toast, bagels, old sweets, coffee and oj but no tea. Not much of a continental breakfast compared to other Booked.net hotels who offer the same. There was no wifi in room as advertised!!! I don't really like not getting what I paid for. If these were known I would know what I'm getting into. This is more 2.5 star hotel.
Bugs in room, needed to change it.
The hotel is at the beach. 200 meters away. Shops, supermarkets and restaurants are very close by. You can park at the hotel for a cheap price. it depends how long you stay.Very close to Miami international airport. The rooms were ok. Will come back for a day stay. Late check out possibility but you have to pay for it. Good hotel for a low budget and short stay. not recommended for a week stay
Behind the bed was dirty. You have to ring everytime you want to enter the hotel. The hotel has not an own incheck desk. you have to go to the hotel next door. Phone didn't work.Invest some money for a big sign above the hotel. There is a little sign at the door.
Staff was helpful and efficient. Hotel was secure - intercom system for entry. Literally 20 yards from the beach. Although there was a group of loud vacationers, I did not hear them from inside my room, only in the hall. Walking distance from a section of Collins Ave. with a cluster of restaurants, a couple of small groceries, a 24-hour Walgreens, and a laundromat, all of which I used during my stay. The room itself was small and minimalist (a plus in my book), and had a small fridge in it, making it easier to eat on a budget.
Room could have been a little cleaner in terms of those forgotten corners of it such as the underside of the table (cobwebs) and the corners near the fridge. The linens, floors, surfaces and bathrooms were clean, though. No space to hang clothes, as closet was occupied by fridge and a couple of shelves. Entryway of the hotel was not well-lit at night.
